Judith L. Reese,Ph. D is an audiologist providing hearing tests, hearing aids, tinnitus evaluation and treatment, aural rehabilitation, and education on hearing loss prevention in Lutz, FL.

Dr. Judith Reese, Ph.D., is a nationally-known audiologist who is highly respected by her academic peers, hearing aid manufacturers, fellow private practice audiologists, and most importantly, her patients. She has dedicated her career to improving hearing health in the Tampa Bay area, helping people reconnect with the sounds and moments that matter most.

Decades of Experience in Hearing Care
Since 1990, Dr. Reese has served people who are hard of hearing in the Tampa Bay area. Early in her career, she provided aural rehabilitation to nursing home residents with hearing loss or deafness and trained their families and caregivers in effective communication — work that earned her a Clinician of the Year award. From 1995 to 2005, she served as a clinical audiologist with the Veterans Administration, receiving the 2004 Outstanding Performance Award for exceeding performance standards.
Dr. Reese holds a Ph.D. from the University of South Florida in an interdisciplinary program spanning Cognitive and Neural Psychology and Communication Sciences and Disorders. She has taught audiology and speech pathology students at USF and published research on hearing aid use, which The Hearing Journal called of primary importance to hearing aid clinicians in 2005. She has presented her findings to professionals and patients nationwide.

Dr. Reese provides comprehensive, ASHA- and AAA-compliant audiological evaluations in a spacious sound booth, along with hearing aid and assistive listening device fittings, real-ear measurements, aural rehabilitation, hearing aid repairs and supplies, and education on hearing loss prevention and tinnitus management — all tailored to each patient's needs, lifestyle, and comfort.

Ryan Nurge, HAS
Hearing Aid Specialist
Mr. Ryan Nurge, a Florida Licensed Hearing Aid Specialist with a reputation for quality patient care, has joined JC Audiology as a new provider of superior hearing care. Mr. Nurge is a Florida native and a graduate of Florida State University. He excels in diagnostic assessments, fitting the right hearing device for a variety of patient lifestyles and needs, and utilizing the latest technological advancements in hearing care such as live speech mapping and real ear measurement.

Mr. Nurge, a resident of Lutz, has been responsible for providing hearing care in Florida clinics that serve thousands of patients, and has earned stellar reviews from patients who have benefited from his expertise. When not tending to his first passion for providing improved hearing to patients, Mr. Nurge works to improve his golf game on the weekends.

Graciela Wentz is the JC Audiology Patient Care Coordinator. Graciela has many years experience working in the hearing care field at another dispensing office. She is bilingual (English, Spanish), and is dedicated to helping you book your first class journey toward better hearing.
