Dr. Judith Reese, Ph.D., is a nationally-known audiologist who is highly respected by her academic peers, hearing aid manufacturers, fellow private practice audiologists, and most importantly, her patients. She has dedicated her career to improving hearing health in the Tampa Bay area, helping people reconnect with the sounds and moments that matter most.
Decades of Experience in Hearing Care
Dr. Reese has worked with people who are hard of hearing in the Tampa Bay area since 1990. From 1995 to 2005, she served as a clinical audiologist with the Veterans Administration, earning the 2004 Outstanding Performance Award for exceeding performance standards and contributing to the VA’s mission.
Before that, she worked in local nursing homes, providing aural rehabilitation for residents with hearing loss or deafness, and trained families and nursing staff on how to communicate effectively with them.
Academic Excellence and Research Recognition
Dr. Reese earned her Ph.D. from the University of South Florida, completing an interdisciplinary program in Cognitive and Neural Psychology and Communication Sciences and Disorders.
She has taught audiology and speech pathology students at the University of South Florida and published several articles on hearing aid use. In 2005, The Hearing Journal praised her research as being of primary importance to hearing aid clinicians. She has presented her findings to professionals and hearing aid users across the United States.
